Jo Williams has over 15 years of circus knowledge and training!
Jo trained and taught with Skylight Circus Arts, Belfast Community Circus School and more recently with Circus Diaspora.
She established Cloughjordan Circus Club when she moved here in 2010, and it has become a thriving circus club in the heart of Ireland. The club has performed in many St Patrick's Day parades, and often invites in visiting experts to share new skills with the members.
We offer Circus Skills Workshops to all sorts of groups including adults, children or families. One off workshops or longer term projects and courses can be created specifically for your group. Jo has many years experience creating large scale circus theatre and site specific performances for large community casts.
"For me Joanna exemplifies what youth and community circus should be all about. She has a fantastic understanding of the importance of giving children and young people respect for who they are and treating them as individuals with distinct needs and desires. Joanna’s own creativity and imagination is used unselfishly to unleash the inherent and varied abilities of everyone she works with. Joanna has a great capacity to explain her vision to young people, artists and community workers alike and to inspire these people to give of their all to realise this vision." Will Chamberlain, Belfast Circus School
